Stock futures were little changed after the Nasdaq Composite and the S&P 500 closed at fresh records.
S&P 500 futures traded broadly flat and futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average traded mostly flat. The contracts don’t necessarily predict movements after the markets open.
In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 added 0.1% in morning trade as gains in utilities and energy sectors were muted by losses in consumer discretionary and materials sectors.
The U.K.’s FTSE 100 and rose 0.1%. Other stock indexes in Europe also mostly climbed as France’s CAC 40 added 0.2%, the U.K.’s FTSE 250 gained 0.3% and Germany’s DAX edged up 0.1%.
The Swiss franc, the euro and the British pound were down 0.2%, 0.1% and 0.1% respectively against the U.S. dollar.
