Dominique Fishback is set as the lead opposite of Samuel L. Jackson in Apple AAPL TV+ The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey. Ramin Bahrani, who wrote and directed Netflix’s NFLX drama White Tiger will direct and executive produce the limited series based on the adaptation of the best-selling novel by Walter Mosley.

On the brink of sinking even deeper into a lonely dementia, Grey experiences a seismic shift when he’s given the tremendous opportunity to briefly regain his memories, and uses this precious and fleeting lucidity to solve his nephew’s death and come to terms with his past.
Fishback will be playing Robyn, a friend of the family who helps Ptolemy.
Jackson serves as executive producer alongside Bahrani. David Levine and Eli Selden will executive produce the project for Anonymous Content, along with Diane Houslin and Mosley. LaTanya Richardson Jackson will also executive produce.
Fishback is currently starring in Judas and the Black Messiah and received a BAFTA nomination for her work in the movie. Her other credits include Netflix’s Project Power, The Hate U Give, and HBO’s The Deuce.
